Fortbras

+-info

Auto parts companies don’t have to look like repair garages, and the new office for Fortbras is the proof. Fortbras is the main Brazilian company of this sector and Gema Arquitetura was hired to design their first branch in São Paulo. The task was to develop their concept and the whole project based on the premise of transparency on working relationships, which is one of the company’s core principles.

Gema Arquitetura created an office with loose hierarchy and almost without walls to encourage teamwork. Workstations and others spaces develop around a central “fish bowl” – the main meeting room – promoting integration and fluid circulation. Accent colours are present on walls, ceiling and even on some doors; they create routes and organize the uses of the spaces, as well as bring some contrast to the usually monochromatic spaces of the corporate world. Light fixtures and plant vases scattered on tables or hung from the ceiling bring lightness and a cosy atmosphere to the office.
