Catas Altas is a town from the Gold Cycle of Minas Gerais located by the Caraça Hills, which owns a rich and preserved colonial collection. Our team worked elaborating the Inventário de Proteção do Acervo Cultural (something like a systematic inventory for protection of cultural collections) as well as elaborating technical reports about the conservation state of the heritage buildings listed in the city.

The inventory gathers historic, cartographic, iconographic and descriptive informations of the city and of the many categories of the collections inventoried (from architectural structures and moveable properties to natural sites and intangible heritage). These information will help acting towards the conservation of the municipal heritage.

The work aims to safeguard the cultural values from Catas Altas, protecting its cultural production and encouraging citizens to identify themselves with their city.
