Located in a condominium on Belo Horizonte’s fringe, this project was guided by set of well defined requests: a small house, preferably on only one level, with simple solutions and easily buildable, in a way that it would interact with the landscape. The study started from an axis that goes through the sloped terrain, generating two blocks that distinguish the social from the private area. The blocks land on different levels over the terrain, creating a split-level layout that avoids extensive excavation. Touches of contrasting bright colours in association with exposed concrete surfaces help to compose a harmonious volumetry with clear accesses.
