New building at PUC Minas’ university campus in Poços de Caldas.
Destined to accommodate mainly classrooms, the project required low cost construction with easily-maintainable solutions, in a building which flows and circulations are legible and visually permeable. A large “L-shaped” volume with four levels presents a front façade that clearly delimits the exterior space and embraces the internal space to create a garden and a living area. It is important to emphasize that, in order to meet the needs of the university, the project allowed the possibility of constructing in phases: at the end of the construction of the first level, the building can already fully operate, and the other levels can be built according the university’s budget schedule.
