To the clients, the dining table is the most important place to be when gathering family and friends – and everyone in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais should agree. To enhance this aspect, and also create a connection with the kitchen and the living room, a crucial design decision was to remove an existing storage room, resulting in a considerable gain in space with gentle transition among these three spaces – and loosening, under this aspect, the traditional culture of rigid use separation.

The floor plan linearity is highlighted by the layout proposed, which has separated yet not divided the spaces, by only using different flooring materials and linear lighting design. Another important design feature was the pinewood panel that creates a boundary to access the private (bedrooms) area.

The composition of delicate and accent colours, on walls and furniture, combined with smart lighting design, gives this apartment a truly house atmosphere: cosy, contemporary, laid-back and chic. Just the clients’ style!
